Our History
1901 marked the start of a new hardware and lumberyard in Kidron. Elias Peter Gerber, an energetic
25-year-old carpenter, began a business that has developed into a multi-service hardware, building supply yard, and manufacturing millwork company.

E.P. Gerber & Sons, Inc. was founded on a strong Christian heritage. The principles of honesty,
integrity, service and quality are central to our business. We have grown and succeeded because of loyalty, good service and the dedication of our employees.

Today under the leadership of 2nd and 3rd generation ownership E.P. Gerber & Sons has grown into two different companies, Gerber Lumber & Hardware a full service Building supply yard, and Gerber Wood Products a custom millwork shop. Both are still operated under the same principles as E. P. Gerber founded the company on in 1901.
